Regional Feed Sales Manager- South Central Dairy & Beef


Nationwide industry leading feed ingredient manufacturing company is searching for a truly outstanding Regional Sales Manager to be responsible for a multi-plant territory in the SE Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas dairy and Beef corridors. The position reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Sales.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree (combination of training and experience may be considered in lieu of degree) Strong relationship building skills through written and verbal communication Organized and self- driven to produce positive results and meet deadlines

Travel may be up to 50% at times. Knowledge of animal feeding and production practices with 3-5 years agricultural sales experience. Strong connections with industry consultants, nutritionist and Dairy and Beef producers.


Position Description:

Remotely based out of one of the plants in the SE Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas region, you will manage feed sales for the region. Your goal will be to sell the product at the highest price while maintaining the required sales tonnage to keep plant inventory levels within specifications. You will work with and report directly to the Senior Vice President of Sales. Each week you will communicate and work with customers to price and market the feed produced from a group of plants. You will have responsibility for coordinating and monitoring truck and rail logistics for the product sold to insure on time delivery at the lowest cost. You will communicate weekly with plant operations management to determine required sales volume and address product or customer issues. You will develop and execute strategies, and prospect for new accounts, to improve sales pricing and meet required sales volumes.
