The ideal candidate will implement, deploy, and oversee maintenance and repair processes by incorporating best practices that maximize the effective and efficient use of employee resources while improving environmental, health, and safety performance and ensuring compliance with maintenance and inventory standards. This role is responsible for deploying continuous improvement initiatives through gap identification and elimination, conducting group assessments, and following up on corrective actions to reduce risk and minimize loss potential to personnel, equipment, and plant operations. The position also promotes and maintains a performance monitoring system with metrics focused on improving asset reliability, identifying and eliminating failures, and communicating performance results at both the local and regional levels.
Additionally, the role involves developing and executing long-term reliability plans to improve facility operations and sustainability while implementing and tracking maintenance costs in accordance with reliability principles to enhance overall facility performance. The successful candidate will contribute to the capital planning process by preparing capital commitment information for assigned projects, ensuring maintenance resources are available, and transferring equipment reliability and maintainability knowledge to project teams. This position requires the ability to develop strategic plans and deliver results in a dynamic business or regulatory environment while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals and supervisors through coaching, talent management, hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions. Collaboration with managers and supervisors is essential to ensure staffing decisions align with current and future organizational needs.
Qualified candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience, a minimum of six years of related work experience, and at least two years of supervisory experience. They should demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively across multiple organizational levels, build collaborative working relationships, and maintain a strong understanding of local and regional safety, health, and environmental regulations. Preferred qualifications include Six Sigma Green Belt certification, Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification, and formal training in predictive maintenance technologies.
