Job Title: Maintenance Manager
Location: Brookings, SD
About the role:
The Maintenance Manager will be accountable for providing leadership and demonstrating a clear commitment to all aspects of EH&S, ensuring safe work practices and developing / approving procedures to maximize craft productivity associated with routine work.
Who you are:

· Participate on Leadership Team to assist in the development of plant vision and to maximize plant performance
· Develop/administer annual performance evaluations and resolution of craft performance issues
· Coordinate and support plant maintenance personnel, and contractors to achieve timely completion of workload in a safe, efficient manner
· Create and present reports detailing maintenance activities, state of plant equipment, shut down planning, and cost control.
· Responsible for the development of the annual Repair and Maintenance budget.
· Develop and drive the plant’s reliability vision
· Work closely with operation leaders to reduce or eliminate down time.
· Responsible for setting up preventative/proactive maintenance schedules for all equipment and maintaining up-to-date procedures for executing same
· Set up preventative/proactive maintenance schedules for all equipment and maintain the PM and equipment database in CMMS
· Ensure department activities are in compliance with all Company, government and site operational department’s regulations.
· Provide trend and root cause failure analysis that affects the plant safety, operation and reliability
· Contact contractors and vendors directly when needed to assist in troubleshooting and maintaining plant equipment
· Coordinate and lead plant turn around and maintenance outages
· Coordinate after hour work and callouts, to include emergency work
· Approve paid time off for craft employees
Requirements and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering field preferred
· 5+ years of experience in a Maintenance or Production environment
· 2+ years of experience in a supervisor/managerial role
· Knowledge of maintenance procedures for equipment typically used in refineries, chemical plants and ethanol plants.
· Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems such as Accruent Maintenance Connection
· Demonstrated people and leadership skills with track record of achieving positive business results
· Strong commitment to safety and environmental issues. Willingness to adhere to all safety and health rules, plant rules, procedures, and guidelines
· Excellent verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills
· Must be computer literate and be able to effectively utilize programs such as MS Work, Excel, and Project
· General knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations for both construction and manufacturing environments
· This position is largely self-directed and require successful candidate to demonstrate understanding of company policy, procedures, and values
· Candidate must be open-minded and adaptive to change
Physical Requirements
This position operates in a process plant environment with strict safety, regulatory and conduct standards. The individual may be exposed to noise, heat, and other elements in outdoor and indoor environments. While performing duties of this position, the individual may be exposed to moving, mechanical parts, dusty conditions, high noise levels and chemicals. Specific physical requirements include:
· Occasionally working in confined spaces,
· Wearing proper respiratory protection,
· Occasionally lifting weight up to 50#,
· Climbing several flights of stairs and ladders,
· Bending, twisting, and turning while lifting weights up to 50#,
· Sitting at a desk for extended periods of time,
· Working at heights and temperatures from -20 to 100+ degrees,
· Standing for extended periods of time,
· Working on elevated platforms and surfaces.
